Submarine Cable Company Limited (BSCCL) said that the Internet will be slow on April 20 to May 1 for the replacement of the terminated Repeater of Cox's Bazar Landing Station. Confirming the matter, Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited official Shafiqur Rahman said. He said that the work of replacing the first and third repairs from the Cox's Bazar landing station at the Bangladesh branch of the SEA-ME-WE-4 submarine cable will continue till April 1 and begin on May 1. Terminated circuits will be closed at Cox's Bazar landing station through SMW-4 submarine cable at this time. However, during this time the circuits of the SEA-ME-WE-5 submarine cable and ITC operator will continue. Besides, there will be no significant issues in international voice, data and internet services due to the completion of the bandwidth connection through the SEC-ME-WE-5 during the maintenance work. The organization said that IGW, IIG and other telecom companies have been approached with the BSCCL authorities to make arrangements to start the international circuit. In the days of maintenance, Internet customers may temporarily face the slow down of the Internet in some cases.
